These terms cover your use of myunseenengine.com. “Unseen Engine”, “we” and “us” mean the business behind this site. “You” means anyone who uses it. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
Client work is governed by its own agreement
Nothing on this site is an offer to do work, and nothing here creates a client relationship. Every engagement is set out in a written agreement and statement of work that both sides sign. That agreement governs what we build, the price, ownership, acceptance, warranty, confidentiality and liability. Where it differs from these terms, it wins.
Prices, timelines and examples on this site describe how we usually work. They are not a quote. A quote is only binding once it is in a signed agreement.
Using the site
You may read, share and link to anything on this site. Please do not:
- copy the site’s design, text or images to present as your own;
- try to break into, overload or disrupt the site, or get at anything you are not meant to;
- use the forms to send spam, or someone else’s details without their permission.
What you send us
When you send a request, you confirm that what you tell us is accurate and is yours to share. We handle it as our Privacy Policy describes.
Anything you share with us about your business in a request or a conversation is kept confidential, and used only to work out whether and how we can help, whether or not we end up working together.
The newsletter
The newsletter is free. You join only after you confirm your address, and you can leave at any time with the link in every issue. Every issue names Unseen Engine as the sender.
Our content
The text, design, images and code of this site belong to Unseen Engine or the people who licensed them to us. Client names and logos belong to those clients.
Our articles share what we have learned from our own work. They are general information, not professional advice for your situation. Before you rely on one for a decision, talk to us or to an adviser who knows your business.
Other sites
The site links to services we do not run, such as Cal.com for booking, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and the products we built for clients. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
No warranty for the website
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or up to date. This applies to the website only. The warranty for client work is in that client’s signed agreement.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website, and our total liability for it is limited to $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes apply from the day they are posted and do not reach back to anything that happened before.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia. Before either side goes to court, we will try to resolve the matter by talking it through, starting with a call within 10 business days of either side raising it in writing.
