A course catalog looks like a product because it photographs well. Families do not pay you for a module tree. They pay you for a tutor who shows up, hours that match the invoice, and a program that still makes sense when the funder asks for a report.

What we learned shipping Hope
The messy part was never video playback. It was the hour that moved, the tutor who covered, the program the hour belongs to, and the payroll file that has to match. Those are records. They need one home, permissions, and a history. A brochure LMS will keep asking you to export CSV into the real business.
A useful question for any “LMS”
If you turned the courses off tomorrow, could the business still run? If the answer is no, ship the operations app. You can add learning surfaces later. You cannot add a week of truthful hours after payroll has already gone out.

We already paid for an LMS. Can we keep it?
Keep it for content if families actually use it. Do not keep it as the source of hours, pay, or program eligibility.
Is this the same as a scheduling tool?
Scheduling is one slice. The product is the week plus money plus compliance. Scheduling alone will recreate the spreadsheet for everything else.
Can AI write the session notes?
It can draft them. A person should accept them before they become the record. Same rule as don’t let the model write to production.
