Logistics / Auto Import

SwiftSail

the challenge

Nigerian car dealers buying at US auctions (Copart, IAAI) were coordinating quotes, titles, dock receipts, trucking, and ocean freight over WhatsApp. Missing documents blocked shipments. Quotes were too slow for auction-speed decisions. Nobody had a single view from pickup to Nigeria arrival.

Our Solution

We mapped the 16-step quote-to-handoff process and designed SwiftSail as a digital layer on top of trusted US shipping agents: instant trucking + ocean quotes with landed-cost visibility, a guided mobile document checklist (title, bill of sale, photos, pickup address), real-time milestone tracking, and answers to the questions dealers’ buyers ask most.

The design is built for auction-speed decisions on mobile, and for an ops coordinator who needs one queue instead of chasing documents across chats.

The process
1
Discovery
1-week intensive requirements gathering and compliance review
2

Wireframes and interactive prototype in Figma within 10 days
3
Development
4 agile sprints with weekly demos and feedback loops
4

Technology Used
UX research, journey mapping, Next.js / TypeScript product architecture, quote + document + tracking workflows
The results
  • Full UX system defined: personas, journeys, problem statements, and value props for dealers and ops.
  • Product direction locked: instant landed-cost quotes, mobile document checklist, milestone tracking, and a built-in knowledge base for RORO vs container, clearing, and payment.
  • Clear path from a 16-step manual WhatsApp process to a self-serve platform layered on existing US agent relationships.
Dealers were losing margin in the gap between auction win and dock receipt. SwiftSail closes that gap with instant quotes, guided documents, and real-time tracking.
